As a Head Nurse, I managed and co-ordinated care of a 42 bed unit of multiple specialties such as Medical, Trauma, Burns, Orthopedics, GYN, OB, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Transplant, Neurology, Vascular and Surgical patients. Involved in Quality Control of nursing and ancillary care through Point of Care Testing. In the ICU as a Charge Nurse managed all nursing personal in a 25 bed Trauma/Burn ICU. Managed the delivery of care of patients by staff RN\'s and ancillary personel. Co-ordinated the admissions and discharges of patients. Acted as liason between patients, patient families, nurses and doctors. Participated in Quality Assurance planning and implementation.
