Hello! I'm a board certified Nurse Practitioner currently living and practicing in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula! I have eight years experience in an adult-gero, acute care setting working as a hospitalist (Med-Surg, ICU, IMCU). Previous to completing my NP certification, I practiced as both an LPN and RN in various settings (Nursing Home, Acute Care- ED, PACU, ICU, Med-Surg Experience). Professionally, I'm incredibly passionate about patient education and teaching, and patient advocacy. It's important to me that patient's feel heard, and are an active participant in their healthcare journey. Recently, I've become certified as an advanced legal nurse consultant. My attention to detail, broad knowledge of medicine and professional experience makes medical record review and legal consultation a perfect niche for me! In my spare time, you will likely find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband and our two dogs, or in the barn enjoying my horses. We enjoy travel and exploring-abandoning the cold MI winters in favor of warmer climates... the other three seasons making living here worthwhile.
