Dr. Betty Bellman was born in Montreal, Canada. She moved to Florida in 1981 and attended the University of Miami, where she earned her Bachelor of Science and majored in Biology and fine art. She completed her Medical degree at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine in 1991. After one year of internship in Internal Medicine, Dr. Bellman completed her first year fellowship in Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian medical Center in New York City. She finished her Residency at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery from 1993-5. Dr. Bellman is a board-certified Dermatologist and has been in private practice since 1999. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the American medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Dade County Medical Association and the Florida Society of Dermatology. She has given many lectures and has published over 25 journal articles/book chapters. I have more than 25 years of experience in Dermatology. I have run my own solo medical practice since 1999. I perform many different laser procedures, surgical excisions of malignant melanoma, skin cancer and moles and Cosmetic Dermatology. My office in on the campus of Mount Sinai Medical Centre in Miami Beach, FL. rnI see adults, geriatric patients and infants and children. I have been an expert witness for the Prosecution department at the Florida Department of Health from 1997 to 2014. This allowed me to objectively review cases and formulate my opinion regarding the standard of care. rnI have a great deal of experience in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology. I was trained by the late Frederic Brandt MD for 4 years and was one of the first physicians to perform Botox, Collagen, fillers and toxins.rnI have experience in hair and nail conditions, sclerotherapy, Juvederm and Restylane, Xeomin, Dysport and Botox, Lasers, skin infections, skin cancer, malignant melanoma, biopsies, chemical peels, medical records review, contact dermatitis, hives, acne, rashes and dermatitis, burns and laser hair removal.
